FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN SOUTH BEND RETURNS INDICTMENT

Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in South Bend, Indiana, returned the following Indictment on July 13, 2011:

Zao G. Burrell, 23, of Angola, Indiana, is charged in a single count Indictment with being a felon in possession of a firearm on or about June 1, 2011. The Indictment also seeks for the forfeiture of a firearm and ammunition. This charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
